In addition to protections for race, gender, color, religious creed, genetic status, age and disability, Montgomery County protects LGBTQ+ residents from discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, and HIV status. If you feel you have been discriminated against in employment; real estate; housing; public accommodations for any of those reasons, you may open a complaint by calling 311, or you may visit www.montgomerycountymd.gov/humanrights/. Bullying at School

MCPS handles complaints of discrimination, harassment, or intimidation directed at a student based on a student’s actual or perceived gender identity or expression in the same manner as all other complaints. The Bullying, Harassment or Intimidation Reporting Form should be used to report alleged incidents of bullying, harassment, or intimidation that occurred during the current school year on school property, at a school-sponsored activity or event off school property, on a school bus, on the way to and/or from school, or through a personal mobile device on or off school property.
